Using Orbit Downloader to save music and video to your computer

We have all enjoyed music or video on the internet and asked ourselves "how can I save this to my hard drive to experience it again?" The answer we will explore here will show you.

NOTE: All of these steps are only legal if you have copyright permission to do this

STEP ONE : Downloading Orbit.

www.orbitdownloader.com

Clicking on the above link will take you to the website to download the program we'll be using today.

After you download Orbit - close your browser. Install the program.

Once installed, the feature that I like best is the Grab++ feature. It is easy to access from the icon on the taskbar next to the clock.

Just right mouse click on it and select the Grab++ option. the clock.

This will open the Grab++ menu in a small window

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOW open your browser and go to a site that you get your music or videos from. This example is from YouTube.
If you arrange the windows so that you can see both your browser AND the grab window you will see that the grab window now has "stuff" in it.
The one on the bottom - the largest one - happens to be the one I want.
Put a check in the box and click on the Download button
You will probably want to change the name to something you can remember
Then click on the OK
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

NOW how do you play this file?

For that we download another FREE program - VLC Media player

Once you have downloaded and installed this program you can view your saved FLV files.

ALSO DVD's, MP3s, and MANY OTHER types of music and video.

The program is small and runs fast. !! ! LOVE IT ! !
