After typing your text in your document, place cursor near where you want your clipart.
NOW THE TOUGHEST part of this task: Remembering where you put your clipart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you are comfortable with the folder structure of windows, then just navigate to the folder where you keep your clipart or photos you want to use. (FOR TIPS OF HOW TO GET FREE CLIP ART go to the end of this document and the Resources section)
Once you have chosen your picture you will notice right away that the image moves aside all the text you have. If you want text to wrap around your image, double click on the image and in the next dialogue box select the layout tab.
In the Layout tab, you will see that you have more choices.
Most times you’ll want the Square option.
(Make sure to note that the Horizontal alignment has the Other option selected)
Now you should see your text on all sides of the picture.
Simply click and drag the picture to the side where you want. (Wherever you think it looks best)
If you think the picture is too big, then you can easily resize it by clicking on it once and then grabbing a corner and dragging it toward its opposite corner. The picture should automatically resize to a smaller version of itself.
Of course if you want to use clipart because you need to make a newsletter, you might want to try the templates already available in Microsoft Word.
If you are connected to the Internet, you might even try Templates on Microsoft.com
