Senior Peer Counseling

Information: Senior Peer Counselors are highly trained seniors who offer free para-professional counseling to Ventura County residents in their homes. Services are extended to seniors who are lonely, anxious, or suffer from depression or other personal problems. The peer counselors meet with professional supervisors on a regular basis. With the addition of nine senior peer counselors recently, Jewish Family Service has a total of 23 counselors to assist. All counselors are Ventura County residents. Services are extended to all regardless of race, religion, income or background. These programs maintain confidentiality, adhering to all legal regulations and professional standards.
