Under the direction of Elizabeth Helms, GCCC is an un-auditioned community chorus. Our programming provides a lot of variety and our group is friendly and fun-loving.
This is the 22nd Season for the Chorus and our second season in partnership with Ventura Adult Continuing Education (VACE).
Rehearsals are on Monday nights from 7 to 9:30pm. We meet in the Ron Halt Community Room of the VACE campus at 5200 Valentine Road in Ventura (off the parking lot at the rear of the building).
Our concert season consists of 3 concerts: December (Holiday concert), March (Classical concert) and June (Varies-Lighter fare). Registration dates for the December concert are: 9/14, 9/21 & 9/28; March are: 1/04, 1/11; and June are: 3/22, 3/29.
Singers of all experience levels are welcome. Not all singers read music but a basic knowledge of music is recommended. We are a ‘community chorus’ but we have a standard of excellence that keeps us striving as individuals and as a group to be the best we can possibly be. We work hard and we have fun in the process!
