CIPCUG has a list to keep members informed of upcoming events. This list is private and will be used for no other purposes. You will NOT receive any spam as a result of subscribing -- and you can upsubscribe easily at any time. Unless there is an unusual announcement, you will receive only or two very short messages per month.
The List will inform you of our upcoming general meetings at the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club. Because we are meeting the fourth Saturday of the month for ten months and the third Saturday for two months, many members have complained that they forget when the meeting is taking place. If you wish to be notified of the upcoming meeting about a week in advance, please sign up for the List.
We have four semi-regularly scheduled SIGs (Special Interest Groups) meet during the month. The Linux SIG meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month, so it will be announced in the same message as the club meeting. During November and December, they also move up a week, keeping in sync with the club. From 8:45 until 9:30 just before the regular club meeting we hold SIGs on several variable topics: Internet, Social Media, Beginners and topical issues as they come up. After the club meeting, sometimes Michael Shalkey holds SIGs after the meeting at various locations. It is handy to know what these SIGs are going to cover so you can plan your attendance.
