Our April meeting will be a busy one. We are having a very special raffle with Items that I am sure will interest you. Our big prize will feature a Nexus7-16 bit tablet. This is a beautiful bit of hardware and very useful. There will be other great items for this raffle. This should be fun and an opportunity to possibly win nice items for just a few dollars.

The raffle ticket prices will be $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00. This will be similar to the raffle on our 25th Anniversary celebration held last September.

Craig Ladd has an informative program for our April meeting which promises to interesting.

We are having a computer tune-up for your PC's at this meeting. The usual fee is $15. Please remember, if a new member joins our computer group between January and April we will offer the tune-up free of charge.

We also are updating the new flash drives for $2.00. If you wish to load your old CIPCUG flash 2mb drive we will do it for $5.00

Another reminder to please complete the CIPCUG survey found on our website. We want to hear from you. Also we do have CIPCUG Business cards at Helen's desk to hand out to prospective members. All club information is on the card.

As I mentioned last month we were negotiating with the Boys and Girls club on a new rental contract. That issue has been finalized and we are comfortable with the resolution of this matter. We did gain access to the B&G audio/visual equipment which should make things easier as we set up the room. That issue did give us an opportunity to explore other sites which was very helpful. I thank the board members for their extra efforts during this time. We have had members over the past few months who donated either time, physical labor, or monetary donations for which the board is very thankful. I have refrained from giving recognition because I did not want to inadvertently forget someone. However, the board does want to give its "thank you to" to Rick Curry, Ward Wright, and Rick Smith. Thank You.

We are preparing for the coming Board elections to be held in June. We are looking for someone to run for President of this fine organization. Please contact any board member.

Our April 27th meeting should be interesting, fun and informative.

Happy computing!
