The Many Glacier bellmen in the early '80s found it hard to believe they were in the presence of someone who was a Glacier Park bellman almost 60 years earlier.. The red buses were still going strong. One of the big changes was a large influx of Japanese tourists.

 

The lakes, trails and mountains were unchanged except that a number of the trails were steeper than they were in the '50s.....

The red buses had been taken out of service in the late 90s, due to safety problems. Thanks to the efforts of many people, the bodies were transplanted onto entirely new chassis and they're back!
