During the week, other outings took us to the Pali lookout, Sunset beach, Hilo Hattie's and the Ala Moana shopping center, Punch Bowl crater, Pearl Harbor with the "Mighty Mo" and the Arizona Memorial, a round at Ko'olau Golf course (said to be the toughest in the US), a whale-watching cruise and snorkeling at Hanama Bay.
One of the week's highlights was the Pro Bowl 2000. An early arrival was essential to get a place in the parking lot and we secured a prime spot in the "Viking Compound". Dylan and Nathan were big hits in their purple jerseys as the starting receivers for the NFC. It was a Viking day - Present and ex Vikings were the MVP and the winning coach as the NFC whomped the upstart AFC, 51-31.
