The President's Message

December 2006

Lois Evans de Violini

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was great, so great I'm late getting my column to John. So when he complains, you'll all know who is at fault. Sorry!

If you missed the last meeting, you missed a good program. It wasn't just about refilling ink cartridges. Cynthia Hunter, (theinkdotlady@yahoo.com) not only did a presentation of her products, but she also explained how some of the different printer cartridges had changed and the tricks used by some cartridges makers to make it seem as if they have more ink than they do. She also explained some very handy tricks. For instance, instead of wiping the holes of a cartridge with a cloth that leaves lint and usually makes things worse, wipe the holes using a disposable coffee filter, which does not have a lint problem. Thanks, Cynthia, for your interesting and informative demonstration.

Would anyone be interested in having a sponsored dinner at the Texas Cattle restaurant? Part of the proceeds of the meal would go to the benefit of our club. If such an activity interests you, please send me an e-mail. I'Sll see if it can be arranged and report to you at the next meeting.

Next month we hope to have a CIPCUG CD at the meeting for sale for $5. This CD will include useful programs that would take a long time to download. A full list of the programs will be available at the meeting.
